Art@Work a huge success!

The studio tours as part of the Art@Work month in the city of Tacoma was a huge success. Here at Jet we had over 230 people visit us, providing great exposure for all the artists as well as enabling the community to see our beautiful working studio space.

As part of this event I had a space for people to make their own ATC (artist trading card) – these cards are a great way to “collect” your favorite artists in a very affordable way. Community members were encouraged to make a card and either leave or take it as they saw fit, or even swap it for a card already made and left behind. I didn’t get pictures of all the cards but here are a few for you to enjoy.

I really enjoyed meeting a wide variety of people over the weekend from aspiring and working artists interested in what I was doing and the materials and techniques I used, to people who had very little background in art and wanted insight into my thought process or how I chose certain color palates. Pretty crazy…don’t think I have ever talked with so many people over the course of two days ever!

Please enjoy the collection of community made ATC cards 🙂
